I have been cheating for 5 months now. I am miserable. Why? I am in love with ‘the other woman’, I go home to a wife I don’t love, and she has pretty much stopped loving me and suspects I am cheating although she won’t accuse me of it, yet. We have three kids and have been married for 15 years. We, myself and the ‘other’, always talk of how much we love each other and want to live together, but neither of us will take the first step to do anything. If I break it off with her I will end up living a lie with my wife, or end up alone, which I deserve I know. Or I leave my wife for another woman and destroy my kids’ lives. I know I am shit, I don’t need anyone to tell me that. GUYS, DON’T CHEAT! it isn’t worth it.

Response:

1. Don’t be too hard on yourself, we’re human and we are not all perfect creatures. Why did you & your wife drift apart so badly? Is it fixable? Do either of you want to fix it?

2. Keep things as they are. You won’t have to pay child support and you can keep banging your girlfriend. You also get to see your kids every day.

3. No workability without integrity

Boy, you love to feel sorry for yourself and wallow in a pity party, don’t cha?!

Do you honestly think any man out there cheating on his wife right now is gonna heed your advice? Meh, I don’t either!

Got some news for you. Your divorce won’t destroy the lives of your wife or kids. They’re going to move on and be just fine in time. Their family bonds will likely remain strong. The one who is most likely to be distant and removed from the family unit and safety net of love is you. And if you did move in with your lover, would it surprise anyone if one or both of you cheated on the other in the future? How can you trust someone who has no integrity? who cheats? who lies? who withholds love and kindness? who breaks up a family unit? who says, ‘I do, til death do us part’ and then doesn’t honor his word??

If you want a life that works, get integrity. There is no workability without integrity. Its the glue that holds everything together.

If you no longer love your wife and you want the freedom to be with other women, then get a divorce (or at least a legal seperation) before you start another relationship. Let her know that her marriage is over and its time to transition. Let her begin to deal with the new reality that awaits her. Take care of what came first.

4. You know…You’re doing a disservice to your children by staying in a miserable marriage.

5. And why the hell are you unhappy?

Your wife doesn’t mind (you say she knows but is in denial). She doesn’t not love you anymore, so why the guilt?

If you lived unhappy for another 15 years you’ll be kicking yourself in the ass for pissing away all those years. Your g/f doesn’t seem to mind the fact you are married either. What the hell do you want?

Worse case scenario ask the wife if she’d mind adding to the family. A big happy family. She might even want some help with the laundry or something.

We live in times where non conventional life styles may be an option to end some misery. I wish my wife didn’t mind the g/f. But they hate each other’s guts. You should see the shit they do to each other…..
