I am 49, small, in great shape, and wear Keen shoes (expensive, curvy, foot forming) most of the time…not heels. I also wear arch supports in them and bought some of those sticky-arches for my other shoes…but… When ever I have been OFF my feet, for even 15 minutes, I experience alot of pain when I get back up on my feet. If it has been longer, you will see me shuffle like an 100 year old woman when I get up.

My left foot is the most sensitive. It’s the soft part in the middle, the arch, I guess, that hurts ALOT when I start to walk on it. My right foot is sore too, just not so much. I can press on the boney bump mid-way down to the heel from my smallest toe and press on that bone and it will hurt. If I gently squeeze my seft foot sideways, it hurts.

But….once I walk on it for a few minutes, I am okay….MORE than okay. I can do anything after that point that I have ever done. I climb 37 flights of stairs at work, I go on long, brisk walks, ride my bike, go hiking! You name it, my feet can take it. I am in great shape. It’s just after getting up on my feet that hurts initially. Thing is, it hurts ALOT!!!

Let’s start by process of elimination…does this sound like arthritis to you? I have no idea, I am not aware of any elsewhere in my body.
This has been going on for a looong time and not getting any better, even after buying all the arch supports. So it’s not a broken bone. Not in both feet, AND the pain would not go away with use. And it absolutely goes away after a few minutes of walking.
So what the heck is going on with my feet and does anyone have a similar problem with theirs?

And who is using my handle???? I had to add the number 2 to my handle because C/L told me it was already in use! I have had this handle for several years now. I don’t understand.

Answer
It could be plantar fascitis. I highly recommend you seek help from a chiropractor or doctor. Massage your feet on plantar surface. That small and thin plantar fascia takes a beating in pounds per square inch. Start with tennis ball, than gradually work into a harder ball like pool ball (8-ball not swimming pool ball). cheap shiatsu massagers at the store also are helpful because they massage and promote a little circulation to hydrate the fascia. Plus it feels good.
