Can’t Be Pregnant… Ectopic pregnancy? Now What?
Okay, so for the last month, I have had really sore breasts, nausea and fatigue. I had a partial hysterectomy three years ago, but took a pregnancy test anyway to rule out any type of ectopic or anything (which is rare, but can happen). This past week I’ve had constant headaches.
I would think it was just stress if my breasts weren’t so tender, but they are. So what else could be the causes? What kind of hormonal imbalances can you get at 30 without a period? My boyfriend and I spend a lot of time together and have sex probably three to five times a night three to four times a week, think my body is just getting used to it? And if so, why all the sudden now? We’ve been dating six months.
Ideas? I feel like crap!
Answer
Ectopic pregnancies have a lower secretion of hormones, so a serum early pregnancy test would be needed.
If you are not able to get pregnant because of a “hysterectomy” then the thing would be are you on replacement hormones (ERT or HRT) and need your dosage adjusted. Hormones can be affected by plant sterols (from food, herbs, OTC supplements)as well as by topical estrogen (vaginal cream, patch).
