I’ve been laid off and stuck on unemployment for a year now. I live alone and every dollar goes to bills and expenses. I have 3 medications I need for asthma :
Advair Diskus 250/50 = $251 ( per month )
Pro Air Inhaler = $58.58 = ( about a month )
A generic for Duoneb, which are ambules of a combo medicine that are used in a nebulizer. = $79.65 ( I can make this last about 6 months )
I also need Prilosec and Zrtech.
All these equal about $500 per month. I have no extra money and need my meds.
1)Treasure Chest was a joke ( 1 time $50 a year assistance )
2)Welfare which is how to get Medicare won’t help since I’m not over 65 or a dependent
3) Adult services considers me wealthy and won’t help.
4) 2 different doctors now CLAIM ” Gee that’s tough, no, I don’t have any ideas” the answer comes out so fast it seems pre-meditated or rehearsed.

Do you know any shady pharmacy techs? Or drug dealers? Somebody was uninsured and needed very expensive brand name only anticonvulsants to avoid hospitalization and death, they were desperate and went the shady route, somebody who knew somebody who knew a shady pharmacy tech.
They were able to get a between a half year and year supply for so many hundred dollars through a shady source, which was affordable. They were able to avoid being in the hospital sick constantly by going the shady route. Following the rules might have killed them.

Go to your county Clinic. Tell them your situation and ask if you can be put on their clinic program. You will have to verify proof of income, address, bank account ect.. However if what you say is true then they should approve you and then they will but you on a sliding scale base program on ability to pay. Good luck!

Contact the manufacturers. Almost all drug companies have programs to provide free or deeply discounted drugs to the truly poor. Google is your friend….find the company website and contact them directly. You will probably need a written scrip from your doctor, plus a lot of paperwork. Its not convenient or fast, but its a start.

Too bad you didn’t try holistic. The nutraceuticals from a health food store are a lot cheaper. Sometimes you no longer need anything once your problem is resolved not just your symptoms controlled by expensive side effect laden dangerous petro chemical long chemical genetic chain manipulated for patent monopoly money making purposes.
