Is Clindamycin good? Has anyone taken this med before? How long did you take it before you started feeling better. I have a staph infection from a surgery I had in June. I have already been on Keflex for 10 days and I just started the new med Sunday night. I am taking 300mg three times a day.

If it works against the bacteria causing the staph infection, you’ll feel better within a few days. Have they cultured the infection? If the first antibiotic didn’t work, it’s best to culture instead of just trying something else. But clindamyacin is pretty good. Potent, but that’s what you need with staph.
That’s some strong stuff. It goes to your bones. I never have taken it . I’ve been prescribed it but afraid to take it. i met a doctor who took it for his impacted wisdom teeth surgery removal & he wound up getting a bad heart from the bacteria and clindomycin combination. i think they put a pigs valve in him he almost died from clindomycin. he said he pays no malice against his fellow doctors these things happen. too bad they didn’t give him the amoxicillin dentist give instead.it happened at UCLA medical dental school hospital.
