How to deal and cleaning extra Ear Wax

Is it me or do any of you also note extra ear wax when you have a head cold. I stuck a q-tip in my ear and got a lot of dark, almost brown wax.

You should never put a q-tip very deeply into your ear. It can just pack the wax in harder. I actually had to go to an ER one night to get the packed wax removed. it was an expensive lesson. If you put just a 1/4 cupful of Hydrogen Peroxide in your ear and lay on your side with the ear up, you’ll hear a gentle crackling sound while the ear wax is cleared out. Ear candling the ear before doing this can help soften the wax ahead of time.
