Spoiled scrambled eggs and Food poisoning
Food poisoning? I know that scrambling eggs is pretty quick, but I’m wondering if:
A) They would taste bad
or
B) This would be unhealthy from a “spoiled food” point of view.
If I scrambled a large amount of eggs Sunday evening, then put them in a large container and heated them up in the microwave every morning that same week.
Thoughts?
Answer
Not saving yourself time. I cook eggs in the morning for breakfast. It takes 45 seconds then stir a little and another 15 seconds. You can buy a microwave poacher and that is like 45 seconds also.
If you are reheating cooked eggs even for 15 seconds (which won’t be enough for refrigerated)they will get gross and rubbery in the microwave. Just cook fresh.
Answer
I wouldn’t eat them more than a day old after cooking but you may get away with a couple of days. Scrambling eggs is quick and easy, why not just take a few minutes to do it daily?
