A really sick people used to only go to the doctor once or twice a year, til their health fell apart. Health insurance is pretty much like auto insurance, it’s a gamble.
You might pick the best coverage there is and with luck, never need to use it or with bad luck, you just picked liability and have a major collision that wipes out all of your assets in the blink of an eye. If you aren’t happy with your coverage, contact an insurance broker, not an agent and try to find the policy that fits you best.
Brokers are independent and don’t work for an insurance company and will shop all the plans. Their service is free. An agent works for an insurance company and will just sell you their policies. If you can’t find a broker, contact your local Chamber of Commerce.
