I have a health care, human rights, legal, and political issue
I am a 41 yo man with high pain and psyc issues. Before moving here, I was being treated for pain management and had a psychiatrists for 20 yrs. There is no cure or good surgery that can really help say many Doctors. I moved here and have been much happier and healthier, but need to continue my treatment..I’ve lost 2 jobs due to pain in Asheville so far!
I went today to a “pain doctor”, (Dr.Katulla in Arden) but was profiled as a hippie druggy, and did not get the pain meds I need. I was upfront about my use of pot. He also had no psychiatric knowlege.
He offered each thing my experience and past Doctors know as “not very effective” and I know make me sick and cost all my money with no regard to pain interfering.. Shots, accupunture, TENS, and also Flexeril and skelaxin, not would not continue my current care of narcotic meds because my admit to some weed use. He let me leave the office stooped over and shaking after his aknowlegement of my major disfunctions. I almost had a car wreck.
I need a new General practitioner, Pain management, and a psychiatrist ASAP. 1 doctor may not specialize in all 3, but my body and mind are all one.
I am at my wits end trying to find even a liberal and understanding general practice with common sense. Someone please lead me the right way.
Thank you

Do a liver/gall bladder flush to start with, then your drugs will be more effective.
also alot of your pains wont be as intense. Schedule three medication like vicodan, etc, are Banned by the FDA and enforced by the DEA, for abuse.
Also, you need rehab- why do you have pain “issues” they prob think you are a seeker. Let me guess you are allergic to morphine, compazine, benedryl, and motrin.
