I just found out I have shingles. It’s on the left side of my face, neck, and hand. Anyone had it? I’m worried about it getting in my eye as my left eye is sore. If it blinds me in the left eye, can it also travel to the right eye? If it gets on my scalp, do I have to shave my hair off?
I’m just a little scared and I’m waiting for morning so I can see the doctor again. I saw the doctor yesterday and she said she’d call me Sunday morning to check on me, as she wanted to make sure that the rash was still there, so she’d know 100% that it’s shingles. Well the rash is there and spreading, and it burns, and hurts. I can’t sleep and I’m really worried about my eye sight.
Answer
I had shingles near my left eye, yes it is very painful. the doctor should put you on an anti viral medication plus something for pain. It lasts for up to 4 to 6 weeks and can leave scaring from lesions, don’t pick the scabs
